Spring break is upon many college students, and despite the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of them have gathered to Miami Beach, triggering rallies and demonstrations and, on the night of March 27, a “ Saturday Night Live” sketch about the “fourth wave” they might be beginning.

Episode host (and former cast member) Maya Rudolph played the host of an imaginary spring break game show down in Florida entitled “Snatched, Vaxed or Waxed,” kicking things off by stating about the pandemic, “We’re so near the end, let’s destroy it!” (You can enjoy the full sketch above.)

Chris Redd, Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney were the participants, while Chloe Fineman, Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner began as “COVID cuties.” The object of the game was for the people to figure out whether the females had “hard bodies” aka were “taken,” had gotten the COVID-19 vaccine and had “antibody-ody-odies” or were smoothly waxed.

Nwodim, for instance, played a girl who said she wasn’t technically on spring break because she is in “Zoom school” to be a therapist, to which she told the client on her phone he was insane. Redd believed she sounded smart, so he opted for “waxed,” while Bennett stated, “I do not desire herpes so I’m going to state she’s vaxed.”

Gardner’s character, on the other hand, came right out and stated she was “anti-vax” and “anti-mask.” Redd believed she was simply flirting, however, so he guessed she was vaccinated.

” Oh come on, you know nobody partying in Miami is really vaxed,” Rudolph stated.

If the guys thought correctly, they got to take the women out on dates to famous Miami areas. Nobody guessed Nwodim’s properly, however, so she was sent out to “the Versace murder actions” all by herself.

” It’s not optional,” Rudolph said.

The sketched likewise satirized Spirit Airlines, declaring they were assuring $10 flights to Miami, however for anyone anxious about the safety of travel, “Don’t stress, we keep the windows open.”

At the end of the sketch, sirens went off, and Bennett pulled on a cops vest. “That siren means I’m on task now,” he stated.

” No, it implies we do a shot and keep the celebration going,” Rudolph stated, to which Melissa VillaseƱor came out to help them do simply that.

Rudolph first signed up with “Saturday Night Live” in 2000; she was a featured gamer initially and after that went on to end up being a full cast member, dealing with NBC’s late-night sketch funny series for 7 seasons. After that, she returned as a special guest a couple of times and made her hosting debut in2012 After winning the guest funny starlet Emmy simply in 2015 for her representation of then vice presidential confident Kamala Harris, she resumed that function previously in the 46 th season this year.

Later in the episode, the show skewered those who are getting the vaccine– the baby boomer generation.

In a music video entitled “Boomers Got the Vax,” the show talked about how that generation crashed the economy multiple times but was able to get out of college without financial obligation and with easy job offers, has their retirement moneyed and is now lucky in a brand-new method.
