Alexa can relay nearby vaccination sites, and can also help you make an appointment.
You already ask Alexa to play your favorite song, check traffic, and tell you the weather—but now, you can ask Alexa where you can get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Alexa Can Now Help You Get Vaccinated
All adults in the US are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, which means that appointments will be filling up across the country.
In a post on the About Amazon blog, Amazon announced that Alexa will now be able to help people find and make appointments to get vaccinated. Simply ask, “Alexa, where can I get a COVID vaccine?” to get all the information you need.
You can also tack on a location to the end of your question, such as “Alexa, where can I get a COVID vaccine in Los Angeles?” to hear a list of vaccination sites near you. If you want to make an appointment, you can also ask Alexa to call a specific location to find out more information.
Alexa can tell you about vaccine availability and eligibility in over 85 countries. And if you’re looking for COVID-19 testing locations instead, Alexa has got that area covered as well.
Simplifying the Vaccination Process
Finding a COVID vaccine appointment through Alexa can be a time-saver, but it isn’t the only vaccine-finding tool that’s out there. Google, Apple, and even Facebook have also rolled out features to help users find COVID-19 vaccination locations, so it seems like all of big tech is jumping onboard.
