Report: Lakers' Dennis Schroder out at Least a Week Due to COVID Contact Tracing

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Dennis Schroder will miss out on a minimum of one week after potential exposure to COVID-19, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin and Adrian Wojnarowski Although Schroder reportedly has evaluated unfavorable, he will stay out in accordance with t he league’s health and wellness protocols.

The 27- year-old was a late scratch ahead of Thursday’s loss to the Brooklyn Internet and was not available on Saturday versus the Miami Heat He’s anticipated to miss out on video games against the Washington Wizards and Utah Jazz also.

Per McMenamin and Wojnarowski, head coach Frank Vogel thinks the guard may return on Friday versus the Portland Trail Blazers and said he’ll be utilizing Wesley Matthews in the starting lineup for the time being.

This is the 3rd time the Lakers have actually dealt with a player being quarantined this season after seclusion periods for Alex Caruso and Alfonzo McKinnie.
